Privacy Policy

Because resting also means feeling safe

Last revised: June 23, 2025

Here, among dormant volcanoes and white houses bathed in light, we believe that tranquility doesn’t begin when you open the door of your accommodation, but from the moment you visit our website. That’s why this Privacy Policy isn’t just another formality: it’s our commitment to you.
We know that sharing your personal data is an act of trust, and we don’t take that lightly. At Yaiza Casas Blancas, we treat your data with the same care and respect with which we prepare our homes so you can experience unforgettable moments.
We’re going to explain, calmly and straightforwardly, what data we collect, why we do it, how we protect it, and what rights you have.

Who’s behind it?

This digital space and everything we offer (homes, support, content, help) is the responsibility of:

What do we mean by “personal data”?

We’re not going to complicate your life with technical terms, but it’s important for you to know:
Personal data are those details that you They identify you (or could identify you), such as your name, email, or IP address.
Processing means collecting, storing, using, and, most importantly, protecting them.
We (Yaiza Casas Blancas) are the data controller.
Data processors are people or companies who help us manage technical aspects
(such as hosting) and with whom we have signed agreements to keep your data as secure as a safe.

What data do we collect and why?

We only ask for what we need to provide you with good service. No more, no less. And whenever we do so, it will be done in a visible, voluntary, and transparent manner.
We may collect:
First and last name, so we know how to call you.
Email or phone number, so we can respond to you if you contact us.
Browsing information, such as your IP address or the type of device you’re using (thanks to cookies, which you can manage).
• Details that you share yourself when you fill out our contact form.

What do we use your data for?

To respond to you. If you write to us, we need your data to respond (obvious, right?).
To send you useful information. If you’ve given us permission, we may send you news, ideas for your next getaway, updates to our properties, or content that will inspire you to return to Lanzarote. This will always be something related to our accommodations and only if we think it might be of real interest to you.
To improve the website. We analyze how people browse in general (never in a personalized way), so that each visit is smoother, clearer, and more beautiful.
To comply with the law. Some regulations require us to retain certain information (for example, if you contract with us through other channels).

Why do we have the right to use your data?

Because:
You gave us your consent: by writing to us or accepting our cookies.
We have an implicit agreement with you when we discuss a reservation.
The law requires us to do so in some cases, such as accounting.
It’s in our legitimate interest to improve the website and respond to your messages.
All this is always balanced with your rights.

How long do we retain your data?

As long as necessary.
• If you write to us, we retain your message for as long as necessary to respond to you.
• If you have given your consent to receive commercial information or inspirational content, we will retain your data until you tell us “enough.”
• If you make a reservation by phone or email, we retain your data for the tax and customer service periods established by law.
• If you only visit the website, we collect cookies. Visit the information banner for more information on the use of cookies.

Do we share your data with third parties?

Yes, but only with those who help us provide you with the best service, such as:
• Web hosting companies.
• Web analytics systems.
• Form or site security tools.
All are within the EU and compliant with the GDPR.

Security of your data

We take care of your data as we take care of our accommodations: with rigor and care.
We have implemented technical security measures (such as encryption, strong passwords, protected servers) and organizational measures (such as privacy training or access control) to ensure that your data is safe.
